Organic Wine and our sustainable winery:
an italian combination for a special 2018
International awards and second place in Wine Enthusiast, “Excellence of the landscape” at Vinitaly and exhibition at the Venice Biennale: a 2018 record labeled bio!
Our Cellar is a company that is among the first in Italy to have made biological and sustainable management the only possible way. This year we conclude 2018 with a 10% increase in all organic sales with a 90.8% foreign export: among the references, the quality and freshness of Prosecco Extra Dry should be mentioned, the best-selling Italian bottled wine in Sweden , the first market for the winery and the exaltation of the territory given by the prestigious Raboso Malanotte DOCG, whose 2015 vintage was greatly appreciated at the preview of the 22nd of November.
“10% more sales of 2018 is the recognition by our consumers of a job we do every day with passion and professionalism. The awards to the quality of our wine are a source of pride and encourage us year after year to continuous improvement: this year we can not help but remember the red stamp obtained at Merano Wine Festival and the silver medal at AWC Vienna International for our Malanotte DOCG 2013, the inclusion in the 5 StarWines guide of Vinitaly with 90/100 for Spumante Moscato dolce 2017 and the second place in the “100 Best Wine Buys” of Wine Enthusiast for the sparkling Prosecco Pizzolato-Fields distributed in USA “- comments Sabrina Rodelli, sales manager of our company.
The objectives are more and more ambitious and this year they turned to the first microvinifications from resistant vines: “It is a project that we support with confidence, which will lead us to the creation of sustainable wines that have undergone only two treatments per year in the vineyard. This year, the vinification of these particular vines to which we approached, 3 white grapes (Solaris, Johanniter and Bronner) and a red grape are enhancing its primary characteristics; for the whites, slightly aromatic, exotic and well-structured aromas, for the red aromas of violet and red berry fruits such as wild strawberries and currants. We expect a lot but there is still a lot to do “- explains Settimo.
A year that also led to the implementation of another 570 solar panels, for the use of electricity, with the complete covering of the roof of the structure and the installation of an organic water purifier confirming that the company’s strategic choices are in line with the most advanced products the market offers, always within a virtuous circle that combines the advantages of industrial and above all environmental management.
There are also many actions carried out to refine the already sustainable winery project, inaugurated in May 2016 and designed by Made Associati of Treviso, which this year at Vinitaly 2018 obtained the “Landscape Excellence 2018” award from Mipaaf. inside the Italian Archipelago during the Architecture Biennale of Venice from May to November as it was born respecting the landscape equipment that surrounded it according to philosophies that make the architecture assume the criteria of social responsibility sought by Mario Cucinella, curator of the exhibition.
